Fenton milk glass (hobnail pattern)
4 smallish Fenton milk glass pieces purchased from one seller, who’s based in Ohio US, where Fenton Art Glass Company is based (like 2h drive away actually). I thought what’s on offer probably is genuine & cheaper. She indeed has a wide range of Fenton glassware, normally sells for much more in Australia. Obviously a huge [...]

6 teacup duos c.1930~1950 (eBay purchases)
Oh dear… I think I need more display spaces in my phantom cupboard! (or better still, another bigger matching 1930’s art deco display cabinet to the one in my rented house – will be on the hunt at Antique dealers once I get back to A house!). Despite a large number of photos, there are [...]

Fire King, Anchor Hocking (continued)
As I said in my previous post, there seems not be a huge market for jadeite (jadite (US?)) Anchor Hocking Fire King pieces, at least in Australia anyway (more in US, where it originates). I’m still in search for jadeite cup & saucer duo, as well as the turquoise (robin’s egg blue), but in the [...]

more on manto-ware
I was quite unconvinced with a lack of information available on English websites (that’s language, not country-specific) on Manto-ware (or Mantoware, Manto ware?), so tried my darnedest to find information in Japanese (that’s both language and country-specific). Afterall, Manto-ware is made in Japan (according to the stamp)!!!
Few Australian people attempted the same searches in English [...]

eBay purchases 10 April 2010
Been on another eBay buying frenzy (one of those phase with 3 pages of items being ‘watched’ – it’ll pass soon ). These are my most recent purchases from the same seller (good for shaving off postage, which can be a bummer if only buying 1 or 2).
1st row left: A metal antique tea [...]

Imari, Kutani & Carlton ware bought off eBay
Got into an eBay frenzy just before leaving Perth – Margaret (Mike’s mum) has a bit to blame showing me all her treasures at her house! Also Mike for installing eBay app on my new iPhone!!! Just so you know I’m not always eating, or just thinking about food! I won 4 items on eBay [...]
